Nuovo Cinema Paradiso (New Cinema Paradise)

This movie came out in 1988. It was directed by Giuseppe Tornatore. The starring actor was Salvatore Cascio (Toto←nickname). He was a famous Italian child actor. This movie is the supreme masterpiece which to still survives in the 3film history. The setting is Sicily, Italy and it portrays how  to a projectionist communicates with a boy through movies. This film has impressive music and createsdelicate a portrait of the characters.

Story Line
Toto lived with his mother and younger sister. His father died in the war. Toto was a moviegoer. And he spends money to watch movies. But that money was supposed to be for milk for his mother. So he went to the movie theater every day. The projectionist, Alfredo, loved Toto like his own child. The movie theater of that time was very popular. One day, a film caught on fire. The movie theater burned down, and Alfredo became blind. So the place of the only entertainment  disappeared in the town, and everybody was disappointed. But the guy made a New Cinema Paradise. Toto became the projectionist instead of blind Alfredo. Then various things happened afterwards.

Impression

I was very moved by this movie.  It has a high rank on YOU MUST SEE BEFORE YOU DIED1001. I thought so too. I think that it is very good. Alfredo became blind. However, it came to thereby show more things. I thought that it was important. This movie has three versions. There are a three hour version, a 150 minute version, and a 120 minute version. I watched the 120 minute version. It's very long but this film is worth seeing many times.

This Is England

This movie came out 2006. It was directed by Shane Meadows. The starring actor is Thomas Turgoose. When this movie was filmed, he was still 14 years old. It took a prize at the 2007 U.K. Academy Award. This movie was made in the U.K. of the 1980s and it's listed in  "100 Movies You Must

Story Line(SPOILER ALERT)
The story begins in 1983 on the stage of the U.K. A boy named Shaun who lost father in the  a Falkland Islands conflict is always tormented. Shaun meets, Woody of the leader of a group of delinquents and makes friends. One day the guy named Combo who is a friend of Woody finish thir penal servitude and comes back. Woody welcomed a Combo, but the story of the combo discriminates against a colored race. The combo persuades that we must stand up for that war was meaningless, such Thatcher who let we fight being bad and dead father to Shaun. And Woody parts from the combo which he is going to brainwash, and Shaun follows the combo. The patriotism of the combo gradually turns into Pakistani discrimination, and Shaun does thing same. One day, while Milky heard the story of the happy family who talked, Combo increased irritation, and Combo has hit Milky until lost mind. Shaun was cries. And Shaun threw away the flag of the group in the sea and parted from them.

Implession

While I watched a movie, I had a pain in it so that a chest was tightened all the time. Because It was hard that I watch the combo, he can associate with another person only by removing others by violence. This Is England criticizes them adversely by making demonstration of violence and racial discrimination in extreme form and denies it. However, as for me, it was in a saved feeling by having denied violent nationalism because Shaun threw away an English flag in the sea last. I thought this movie is you should watch once by your life.

Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation

This movie came out 2015. It was directed by Christopher McQuarrie and J.J. Abrams. J.J. Abrams is very famous directer. I think his best work is Armageddon and Star Trek. The starring actor is Tom Cruis. He is one of the most famous actor in the world who anyone know. This movie is 5th work of mission impossible series. Shooting took place in Vienna and London from 21 August 2014 to 21 March 2015.

Story Line
An elite spy organization "IMF" that plays an active part in the world. Ethan Hunt who belongs to such "IMF" has traced secretly the mysterious multinational spy organization "Syndicate", but he is caught by the enemies by tear gas.
Ethan who escaped from the enemy's hands by mysterious woman Irsa. They will challenge the battle against the mysterious Syndicate while facing the crisis of "IMF" dismantling ...

Impression
I think this film is worth seeing. This is the fifth movie in the series so it was made very well. The attention point is a dangerous action scene of Tom Cruise.

The fillming of this scene was carried out in an altitude of 1,500m, 400 kilos per an hour. It took off, rose,  flew, and returned repeated eight times of landings. During filmed, it was in danger of the lot. conflict to trash and a bird during a flight, Danger eyeball in to a fuel gas breaking out by an engine, safety of the camera and lowering the temperature of the sky. But he shuffled through his work. We should watch his great achievement.

This movie came out 2010. It was directed by Tom Hooper. His famous work are The King's Speech and Les Miserables. The starring actors are Colin Firth and Helena Bonham Carter. This movie took four prizes at the 83rd Academy Award. It's based on historical fact.George VI is the British king who reigned from 1936 to 1952. And king of the British Dominions beyond the Seas and  last Emperor of India

Story Line
The story begins in 1926. Prince Albert (Colin Firth) will give a speech on behalf of father, George V (Michael Gambon). But Albert has a stammer so his speech failed and disappointed the, nation. Then, for eight years, Albert takes various treatment, but there is no effect. Therefore his wife Elizabeth (Helena Bonham-Carter) asks a speech therapist from Australia, Lionel Roeg (Geoffrey Rush) when she  hears of his reputation. But actually Lionel Roeg doesn't have a doctor licence. Lionel eases the body and feeling of Albert from becaming stiff by using a bold technique. David who just became King as Edward the Eighth chose the love with an American woman. And he offered return of the throne. Therefore Albert will take the throne as George VI, however, the feeling of strain is not ordinary….….

Impression
I think anyone is able to enjoy this story and it's not difficult to understand. But we can enjoy it more if we have an understanding of the world situation and the British Royal Family. George VI and Elizabeth stayed in Buckingham Palace during the war and received  food-control system the same as the nation. I think they gave a real big influence to  Britain nation of the day. Because their view point were stay a same long time. It is the same as the current Japanese Imperial Family. I think that it's important that the U. K. and Japan until maintain an Imperial Family  the present age.It was good that I could learn the backgrounds of history and the the British Imperial Family.

The Great Gatsby (2013)

This movie came out in 2013. It was directed by Baz Luhrmann. The starring actor is Leonard DiCaprio. This movie is based on the novel called Great Gatsby by F.Scott. Fitzgerald. It is famous as one of the best novels in American literature. This novel was filmed three times in the past, and the most famous movie was 1974's work. That was directed by Jack Clayton and the starring actor was Robert Redford.

Story Line

The story begins in the early 1920s as a recollection by young man Nick Carraway (Tobey Maguire) working in Wall Street. He moved to West Egg on  Long Island of the New York suburbs to work at a stock company. The person living in the neighboring mansion holds a luxurious party every night.  Nick know that the master of the mansion is a person called Jay Gatsby and Nick was interested. One day Nick is invited to the Gatsby party. Then Nick will know the feeling that Gatsby hid for five years.

Impression

In fact, the reputation of this movie is not good. The movie review site "Metacritic" score is 55. The "RottenTomatoes" score is 48. But I think it is not bad. The actors are very well cast. Leonard DiCaprio's performance was amazing. I read Great Gatsby which Haruki Murakami translated. I thoght of Leonard DiCaprio's performance as Gatsby as I read the book. But this movie that has a little strange thing. It is that Hip-hop was played in the scene of the party. I feel it's a little strange hip-hop was played in 1920. Of course this is good. I was most interested is how to translate "old sport". "Old sport" is a 1920's British word. Now it is changed and called "old chap". It means "my friend" . So in the movie, translate "君”,　which means "you".  I think it's best. Everyone should watch this movie once.

Flags of Our Fathers

This movie came out in 2006. It was directed by Clint Eastwood. The starring actor are Ryan Phillippe, Jesse Bradford and Adam Beach. This movie portrays The Battle of Iwo Jima. In February 1945, a photo was taken of six soldiers raising the American flag on top of a mountain on Iwo Jima. This movie follows the lives of the soldiers in the photo. This is the American side. There is another side story. It is the Japan side. The title is "Letters from Iwo Jima." It portrays the battle through the eyes of young Japanese soldiers. The original is a Non-fiction book called “Flags of Our Fathers” by James Bradley and Ron Powers.

Story Line

John "Doc" Bradley was called a hero by the American people. He was one of the soldiers who raised the American flag on top of a mountain on Iwo Jima and faught as a medic with the U.S. Marine Corps. But he didn't talk about the photograph even to his family. His son, James begins to search what was happen of on Iwo-Jima…

Impression

I learned important thing. War includes each viewpoint, and each has justice. So the viewpoint of our own country and the enemys, are necessary to understand war equally. And I feel antiwar without any conditions. We need to watch this movie and "Letters from Iwo Jima." And we should learn at war again. Of caurse we can't watch and feel real terrible war. So we haven't the image that war is afraid. This movie wants you to watch because it is portrays more realistically than other war movies.

The Hobbit An Unexpected Journey

This movie came out in 2012. It was directed by Peter Jackson. The starring actor is Martin Freeman. This movie’s genre is fantasy. The original is a novel called the adventure by the hobbit of J.R.R. Tolkien.

Story line

The story centers on Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman),a hobbit.

Bilbo Baggins of the hobbit group receives the

invitation of an unanticipated trip from Gandalf (Ian McKellen),

the wizard. So the kingdom of the dwarf group had been taken over bya dragon, so the purpose of the trip was aimed at the recapture of the kingdom. Bilbo and Gandalf, the first destination

leaves for the mountain with 13 dwarves that Tholin

(Richard Armitage) leads.

Impression
This movie is very long (2hour50minnits). But we can watch this

movie easy. Because this movie makes us excite and we doesn’t

feel boring. I was excited all time. Dwarfs are everyone funny.
