Forrest Gump

This movie came out in 1994. It was directed by Robert Zemeckis. The starring actor was Tom Hanks. This movie won the 67th Academy Award for Best picture. Forrest Gump is the name of the main character in this movie. Forrest was named after Nathan Bedford Forrest a member of the Ku Klux Klan. Gump means half-wit in a dialect of Alabama. There are famous lines in the movie (Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get.). These lines are 40th place in "excellent best 100 lines of American film".

Story Line

The story advances as Forrest talks to people who wait for a bus while Forrest recollects his past. Forrest Gump's IQ is low, but he has a pure heart. When he was a child, he was bullied by classmate because his IQ was low.But Forrest was treated nicely by a girl called Jennie, and Forrest becomes her best friend. One day Forrest noticed that he could run fast, so he enter university on a sports recommendation. When he graduated from the university, he entered the military. He saw service in the Vietnam War and he went back to his hometown. So when he went home, he started shrimp fishing, and he made a fortune. Then Forrest met Jennie again, and the climax contains another story.



Impression
This is the story of a man who lived in the United States in a turbulent time from the 1960s through the 70s. President Kennedy's assassination and the Vietnam war come out as one of the events in the life of Forrest in this movie. This movie was gave the American history that we do not want to remember positively. KKK, the discrimination against blacks, hippies, a drugs and the Vietnam War. I felt this movie wanted to remind of audience the past memories. A lot of events happen in life. It is important what type of person you meet. One's life changes by the people you meat. I learned the importance of living honestly. I think Forrest understands one's proud thing and does not persist in one,find one's proud thing. As a result, he has the story of a great life.

Star Wars The Force Awakens

This movie came out in 2015. It was directed by J. J. Abrams. The starring actors were Daisy Ridley and John Boyega. And Harrison Ford came back!! The Star Wars series did not feature women very much, so the character called the Rey was introduced to make a new story. John Boyega appears as the Stormtrooper into beginning. You know him if you watched a movie why John Boyega became a friend.This movie is one chapter of all trilogies which assume a Rey a main character.

Story Line

The stage of this story is 30 years after of episode 6. The heroine, Rey, who lives on a  planet of the desert collects waste materials. She waits for the return of "the family". So she meets BB-8 entrusted an important secret and a deserter fin of the First order. And an unexpected trip begins by being get involved in fight with the first order.And, the hero who saved the Milky Way, Luke SkyWalker, is missing because something happened. Rey and Fin are go to look for him to make friend.

Impression

This series has a history of nearly 40 years. I have not seen all episodes. I only watched3～4 series. I do not remember the details very much. However, we can enjoy it very much even if we does not remember the details or did not watch other episodes. There are opinions on the pros and cons.Is it Interesting or boring? You decide after you watch it.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

This movie came out in 2016. It was directed by David Yates. The starring actor was the British actor Eddie Redmayne. He looks young but he is 35 years old. In 2012, he appeared in "Les Miserables" in the part of Marius. In September, 2013, a film version was announced latest title book of the Harry Potter series. It will product plans all five part. The story is set 70 years before Harry Potter's story begins. It becomes 9 part at the magic world of J. K. Rowling.


Story Line
The stage is NY of 1920. Newt learns magic in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft , and taking trip to the world search a magic animal. Newt enters NY, but run aways the magic animal which Newt hided there in a trunk. In cooperation with Jacob and the Goldstein sisters of the American magic assembly who have seen a magic animal accidentally, their continue catch the animal, but around the same time, a presidential candidate was murdered. And Newt was doubted because Newt's magic animal escaped, doubted they killed the presidential candidate. What happens to them from now on?

Impression
This film is a high quality fantasy, but there are elements that surprise a little, so the movie is not recommended for children who dislike horror. I read all of the Harry Potter books. I love the Harry Potter series. But I cannot empathize with the main character in Fantastic Beasts because the image of Harry Potter is strong. But I came to not be worried about Harry Potter's image from the middle the movie. I want to see the sequel, too. We should watch this movie once.

The Revenant

This movie came out in 2015. It was directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu. The starring actor was Leonardo DiCaprio. His famous works are Titanic and Inception. He got the Best Actor Award at the 88th Academy Award of 2016 for the first time. This movie is based on the novel called The Revenant: A Novel of Revenge by Michael Punke. And it's based on true story. This movie portrays a trip of  survival that half life and he of the actual trapper Hugh Glass who lived in the western frontier period of America experienced.

Story Line

In the early 1820s America. a hunting team of  good hunter Hugh glass (Leonard DiCaprio)was attacked by native Americans. The hunting members who survived ran away in a boat, but Hugh with the knowledge and experience suggests they  return on foot to the base. Hugh while walking, meets a bear and suffers a serious mortal wound. The team members are going to carry Hugh, but John (Tom Hardy)hates Hugh and objects. John suggests  kill Hugh because it's too late, but Henry, the team leader orders somebody to stay with him instead, and nure him until death. So the son of  Hugh, John  and Jim stayed. John who stayed is going to murder Hugh it he get a chance, but the son who discovered it thies to help his father. Then he was killed by John. Hugh can't move because of his injury and his son was murdered in front of Hugh. Hugh recovers, and escapes from death and promises to get revenge on John. So begins his trip of survival in Nature...

Impression

This movie is taken only in natural light. It has good story, but the scenery gets more attention because very beautiful. This is the first time I have ever watched such a beautiful movie.

Nuovo Cinema Paradiso (New Cinema Paradise)

This movie came out in 1988. It was directed by Giuseppe Tornatore. The starring actor was Salvatore Cascio (Toto←nickname). He was a famous Italian child actor. This movie is the supreme masterpiece which to still survives in the 3film history. The setting is Sicily, Italy and it portrays how  to a projectionist communicates with a boy through movies. This film has impressive music and createsdelicate a portrait of the characters.

Story Line
Toto lived with his mother and younger sister. His father died in the war. Toto was a moviegoer. And he spends money to watch movies. But that money was supposed to be for milk for his mother. So he went to the movie theater every day. The projectionist, Alfredo, loved Toto like his own child. The movie theater of that time was very popular. One day, a film caught on fire. The movie theater burned down, and Alfredo became blind. So the place of the only entertainment  disappeared in the town, and everybody was disappointed. But the guy made a New Cinema Paradise. Toto became the projectionist instead of blind Alfredo. Then various things happened afterwards.

Impression

I was very moved by this movie.  It has a high rank on YOU MUST SEE BEFORE YOU DIED1001. I thought so too. I think that it is very good. Alfredo became blind. However, it came to thereby show more things. I thought that it was important. This movie has three versions. There are a three hour version, a 150 minute version, and a 120 minute version. I watched the 120 minute version. It's very long but this film is worth seeing many times.

This Is England

This movie came out 2006. It was directed by Shane Meadows. The starring actor is Thomas Turgoose. When this movie was filmed, he was still 14 years old. It took a prize at the 2007 U.K. Academy Award. This movie was made in the U.K. of the 1980s and it's listed in  "100 Movies You Must

Story Line(SPOILER ALERT)
The story begins in 1983 on the stage of the U.K. A boy named Shaun who lost father in the  a Falkland Islands conflict is always tormented. Shaun meets, Woody of the leader of a group of delinquents and makes friends. One day the guy named Combo who is a friend of Woody finish thir penal servitude and comes back. Woody welcomed a Combo, but the story of the combo discriminates against a colored race. The combo persuades that we must stand up for that war was meaningless, such Thatcher who let we fight being bad and dead father to Shaun. And Woody parts from the combo which he is going to brainwash, and Shaun follows the combo. The patriotism of the combo gradually turns into Pakistani discrimination, and Shaun does thing same. One day, while Milky heard the story of the happy family who talked, Combo increased irritation, and Combo has hit Milky until lost mind. Shaun was cries. And Shaun threw away the flag of the group in the sea and parted from them.

Implession

While I watched a movie, I had a pain in it so that a chest was tightened all the time. Because It was hard that I watch the combo, he can associate with another person only by removing others by violence. This Is England criticizes them adversely by making demonstration of violence and racial discrimination in extreme form and denies it. However, as for me, it was in a saved feeling by having denied violent nationalism because Shaun threw away an English flag in the sea last. I thought this movie is you should watch once by your life.

Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation

This movie came out 2015. It was directed by Christopher McQuarrie and J.J. Abrams. J.J. Abrams is very famous directer. I think his best work is Armageddon and Star Trek. The starring actor is Tom Cruis. He is one of the most famous actor in the world who anyone know. This movie is 5th work of mission impossible series. Shooting took place in Vienna and London from 21 August 2014 to 21 March 2015.

Story Line
An elite spy organization "IMF" that plays an active part in the world. Ethan Hunt who belongs to such "IMF" has traced secretly the mysterious multinational spy organization "Syndicate", but he is caught by the enemies by tear gas.
Ethan who escaped from the enemy's hands by mysterious woman Irsa. They will challenge the battle against the mysterious Syndicate while facing the crisis of "IMF" dismantling ...

Impression
I think this film is worth seeing. This is the fifth movie in the series so it was made very well. The attention point is a dangerous action scene of Tom Cruise.

The fillming of this scene was carried out in an altitude of 1,500m, 400 kilos per an hour. It took off, rose,  flew, and returned repeated eight times of landings. During filmed, it was in danger of the lot. conflict to trash and a bird during a flight, Danger eyeball in to a fuel gas breaking out by an engine, safety of the camera and lowering the temperature of the sky. But he shuffled through his work. We should watch his great achievement.
